Private Pilot Ground School Schedule & Syllabus
Private Pilot ground school will be to help with the preparation of the written exam required by the FAA to get your private pilot’s license. Some subject matter such as regulations and weather are mostly memorization however the flight planning, aircraft performance charts and weight and balance are more easily understood if you have the help of a trained flight instructor. There is a common misconception that a student pilot must complete a ground school before they begin flying with an instructor. The best way to be most productive studying is to apply your knowledge to flight instruction during ground school classes. Call a flight instructor today to schedule your first flight 252-489-8165
Each class will be held from 6pm-9pm every Monday & Tuesday starting February 18th through April 9th with no class April 1st & 2nd for a total of 14 classes.
Classes will be held at College of the Albemarle in Manteo in the continuing education building.
Price: To enroll in any or all classes is $120 with a $55 supply fee.
This price includes 14 classes.
Required supplies are:
*Materials for the flight planning portion of the class are $30.
-A Sectional Plotter and a Flight Computer also known as an E6B.
*FAA Written test booklet is $15.
*Charts and Miscellaneous course materials are $6.50
