Hey everyone this is OBX Airplane’s first blog post! From now on we will be keeping you informed on our day to day operations by giving you back stories on our employees and planes, interesting facts about the outer banks as well as insight into our pilots everyday flying adventures. If you love to fly or just love to hear about the outer banks you have come to the right place! 

OBX Airplanes has been in business since 2012. Jenny Hawk is the owner/operator of the company. She started off with just a small Cessna 150 and has grown the company to a 13 aircraft fleet, with 7 employee’s. Newest to our fleet we have a open cockpit Bi-Plane that seats up to 2 passengers. We also have tailwheel Citabria’s, and Cessna 150’s, Cessna 172’s, Cessna 182RG, and a Cessna 177RG. We offer aerial advertising, aerial tours, and we also have a flight school where you can learn to fly (obtain your private pilot, instrument, commercial, CFI, and CFII) and become a pilot. OBX Airplanes is not your typical aviation operation, we are not only one of the largest operations on the outer banks but we are also a family of aviation enthusiast all striving for excellence in safety and customer satisfaction.
